Datuk sheikh muzaphar shukor spent 10 days aboard the International
Space Station. He’s the first Muslim to
have observed Ramadan in space as well as celebrate Eid out of the earth’s
atmosphere. Islamic National Fatwa Council has come out with guidebook for
Muslims in space. So he know how to pray in a low-gravity environment, how to determine
prayer times and many more. During all his time in space, he had conducted a
series of scientific experiments in the space station such as, the
characteristics and growth of liver cancer and leukaemia cells. During his time
in space he also heard the azaan. He
was so lucky to be selected as an astronaut. That was new and amazing
experiences for him.
